Northern Counties Cup, Dornoch - 16 & 17 September 10

Thurso's team of Jim Sangster, Alan Swanson, Doug Thorburn and Peter Sangster recorded the Club's first ever win in the Northern Counties Team Championship played at Royal Dornoch last weekend.

They overcame Nairn Dunbar's first string by seven holes in the second round, having received a bye in the first round.

The following day saw them matched against Fortrose and Rosemarkie's second string. Soon after the turn Thurso were five up and looked to be heading for a place in the quarter final but they failed to hold their form and disappointingly lost out by one hole.
