Ross maintained his good form on Saturday in winning the William Simpson Memorial with a fine nett 67, two shots clear of Cameron and Pat Valentine.

Ross had only one bad hole, a triple bogey at the long fourth, but made up for that with a two at the ninth and scored 43 points for each nine.

Cameron's inward 39 was just good enough to beat new senior champion Valentine on count back after both returned nett 69's.

Ronald had the day's low round of 73 for a nett 70 and fourth place.
