Mixed Doubles - Season 2001-2002
Carole and Billy emerge victorious in Final
Sixteen "boys and girls" came out to play for Thuso Squash Club's first Mixed Doubles competition of the season.
After preliminary round-robin matches the field was narrowed down to four couples.
In the first semi-final, Carole Mowat and Andrew Chadwick narrowly defeated Anne Bremner and Ia Cameron. The other smi also went to three games, with Carole Cameron and Billy MacLeod just seeing off Jane Grant and Steven Bremner.
The final was highly competitive, with Carole and Billy emerging victorious from the mayhem that results from imprisoning four determined adults within the confines of a squash court. The score was two games to one and Carole and Andrew were left regretting the loss of the second game in which thay had held match point.
