Wendy Maitland and Lisa McKenna were in Caithness recently to pass on top tips to players from Wick and Thurso Squash Clubs.
Both girls are ranked among the Top 50 players in the world. Wendy, from Edinburgh, is Scotland's number three while Lisa, from Aberdeen, is ranked fourth.
Juniors and adults at the two local clubs were given some coaching advice and were able to watch an exhibition match between the two Nottingham based professionals.
Caithness players thus enjoyed a close-up view of the accuracy, athleticism and anticipation which characterises sport at this level.
Wendy and Lisa still had enough breath to conduct an informative question and answer session.
