Trophies stay in Thurso... - 21/02/04 - (HOME)

Although the scoreline shown below looks like a walkover, there were a few tight games. Namely, Louis Brunton produced a good performance, which made his opponent chase for everything. Cuddles won the only game of the day for Wick by producing one of his gutsy performances and Mike Henstridge pushed Dougie Sinclair to his limits with four tight games.

It was good to see James Georgeson and Sandy Stewart playing against each other, as the two of them have been struggling with injuries and illnesses and I'm sure everyone wishes them the best, so that they can come back to their full fitness.

For next seasons matches, hopefully, Wick will be able to field a ladies team for the match because the only people we can watch at the moment running around, moaning, getting sweaty and tipping - is Dougie Sinclair and Willie Jappy - and it's just not the same thing, as I'm sure you will all agree.....

Thanks to the Royal Hotel, Thurso for their excellent meal and hospitality. Also, a big thanks to Ali & Bird for their open house, where a few Gymnastic moves were performed for the entertainment of the crowd and the host showed his moves with some 'funky-struts'.

Finally, due to 'eBIGH.com's developer taking part in the squash, it has forced him into hiring a glamorous assistant photographer, well - Carly. A deal was agreed, at a very generous rate, contracts were signed and Miss Carole Mowat will now take some of the photos, when necessary. ALL photos below, for the Home match are her work, cheers.

Thurso take the lead... - 08/11/03 - (AWAY)

Thurso would like to thank Wick for their excellent hospitality, both during and after the competition. So much so, that the 'Happy Jappy' never managed to reach his pit until 01.30 hours. Wonders will never cease.

The First Leg of the Thurso v Wick Inter-County match didn't really provide any surprises and Thurso hold a substantial lead for the return encounter.
Unfortunately, Wick were unable to field a Ladies Team and hopefully they will be able to amend this situation in the future.
