TSC New Chairman - Season 2007-2008 - 01/09/07

Left:- Ian Adamson and Sandy Stewart

"I guess it's time to make a change, always look back but take it easy....."

Those immortal and quizzically lyrical words were uttered for the last time by Thurso Squash Club's long standing chairman, Sandy Stewart as he finally decided, much to the disappointment of the on-looking present committee, to retire as chairman and pass on his wealth of knowledge to a growing crop, now to be led by Ian Adamson.

From the foundations, up - Thurso Squash Club has and, always will have, a rather sweet smelling potent aroma surrounding it's inner haven from one of it's original founder members and, his undying love of the club. Along with being a well respected Thurso High School, English teacher and moderator, he has managed to train and develop numerous potential players/students and guide them in the right direction for the future, much to their own benefit - both, academically and sportingly.

New Chairman, Ian commented that it would be a tough task to match Sandy's achievements but he welcomed the job with open arms and looked forward to guiding the club into a new era.

Finally, we all wish Sandy the best for any of his new and interesting conquests, hope he will continue to be a part of the club and it's activities in some manor, shape or form of which he will be welcomed with open arms.
