I could start this short report or headline with the normal phrases, 'Oops, I've done it again.....' - Britney Spears' number 1 lyric or; 'Big Bird gets plastered, again.....' - relating to his Vodka and Coke preference, but I'm not...!!!

Snapping/Rupturing his achilles tendon was an unfortunate and career threatening injury to the Big Man during the final of the Over 50's Masters' event in Aberdeen. One that has now stopped him playing for his country in the Home Internationals hosted in Edinburgh. Also, being self-employed and having a wife that has a taste for the grape/wine is not the best, either...!!!

Already snapping the other tendon a number of years ago - surely, this will be the end of any future retributions to his ankle area - if he decided to return? Which will probably be a 'yes'!

If you get a minute, give the house bound man a buzz because he canna do too much, is annoyed he can't go to Yell, Shetland for badminton and being with 'Jeremy Kyle' for company is not the best...!!!

Big Man, if there is such a thing as a bonus in this unfortunate incident, let it be that you beat the Big Boys/Top Seeds of Scotland in your age group. Hold that there with pride for yourself and as an ambassador for Caithness squash. Hearin' me........

Och, that's not the Caithness way... If you see him, shout, 'Britney...' and if he's going to be an 'Ambassador' get the Ferroro Rocher's ready.....
