Sandy Stewart Super Series, Thurso - Season 2009-2010 - 05/06/10

On the hottest day of the year so far in Thurso, the inaugural Sandy Stewart Super Series Squash event got underway between clubs from Thurso, Forres and Fort William.

This tournament is a 'treble header' contest played at each club, into 3 teams of 5 with reserves and the club with most points after 3 events is the winner.

Due to the conditions outside, the stifling heat indoors was an added obstacle for the players to contend with - but overall, although most came off the court with less strength than a can of Kaliber, it was a good day of tough squash with an opportunity to play against different players from around the country.

Thurso managed to win both their matches and gain 3 valuable points to carry onto the next match, hosted at Forres in September.
